The Allegro Vest is the perfect garment for any level of knitter looking to create a garment in a short amount of time. This vest is knit flat, bottom up, in two panels which are sewn together on the sides and shoulders, and finished with an I-cord edge. It is designed to fit with approximately 2” (5cm) of positive ease around the body so that it can be layered, or worn by itself. With minimal shaping, this pattern can be easily customized.

The measurements of the neckline circumference, armhole depth, and length of underarm to hem are easily adjusted based on your personal preference, as this garment is seamed together on both edges and shoulders.
Materials:
Yarn (see yardage above): Lang Yarns “Phoenix Merino Extrafine” in color 1107.0023 (Color A), Lang Yarns “Phoenix Merino Extrafine” in color 1107.0094 (Color B). If you use a different yarn, I recommend a super bulky yarn with a lighter twist to create a softer, fluffier texture. Another fun option is to work with two strands together, one in a worsted/aran weight, and one in a DK/fingering weight, to create more texture. As long as the correct gauge is created, have fun with the colors and fibers!
Size US 15 10.00mm 24” (60cm) needles or longer (depending on size of garment).
2 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Optional:
Size US 15 10.00mm double pointed needles (DPNs) to complete the I-cord edge (this can also be accomplished with your circular needles)
Stitch holder
